No one knows exactly…  go to nearest cinema and watch it .. no RM5 DVDs!! … well now lets talk about ” The Closing ” To be very frank.. ther”s nuthin much differences.. It seems to came out from no where… wift no clear warning! Is it a some kind of new terrorist attack, an experiment which went wrong, or an out of control virus? believe it or not.. it happens at 1630, 30th June 2008, the GM of Nikko Electronics, Mr Lim Chiang Hang , announced that its time to pack up! and here cames the MD…. ” …. actaully we have tried our level best, but we failed ….” at the hour of 1730, all the workers given noticed and salary slip… they were then asked by the HR Director to pack up their things and good luck… its was preplanned act! The managment disclosed it till Monday ( 30th June, 1630 hour), they knew it earlier..The compay closed down without giving its employees a month’s notice as required by the Employment Act. Leaving behind thousands of people out of job… Well is this the beginning..?  Are we Penangians gonna face more and more close downs like this?  Check this out <<< ——

Some 50,000 industrial workers may lose their jobs by year end due to inevitable closure of several manufacturing factories across Penang, warns the Malaysian Trade Union Congress (MTUC).

Most of these workers will be from the electronics, electrical and textile sectors, which had been squeezed by escalating inflation rate, according to its Penang branch chairperson Abdul Razak Abdul Hamid. The red alert is bound to rattle the federal and state governments and the employment sector as the retrenchment spree in Penang could well set the trend across the country.

**** special thanks to Malaysiakini.

Its not easy being jobless.. i have went through it.. I was jobless for sumtimes.. Its hard..

errr.. Mr PM, why dont you get your own car ( u drive your ownself), drive from your house to your office, get your self in traffic jams, pour petrol for your own car, pay for all the tolls u pass by, get your car serviced, change the tyres, breake oil, engine oil and GET ROAD TAX!!! then you will know how is the pain! atleast that time i hope that you will understand the “pains” goin through by the people! not everyone rich like you! remember that! 78 sens is  maybe nuthin much for you! its not a big deal for you n ur cronies ! but for the others, its not like that, its a huge sum! why cant you undesrtand tat! are you that dumb! Its clearly shows, its like “Robbing Peter to pay Paul”. Dont rob from the people! Where does the Petronas profit goes? Do we really need the submarines?  A RM 30 million yatch… wow.. your great man.. im not lieing bout this issue.. read here . If fuel price shoots up like this, eventually all the goods price will also increase! today, i went to shop  to get a can drink ( 100 plus), i was shocked to see the price tag, its tagged RM2.00. Went i ask the shop owner, he say ” Harga minyak naik, apa mau buat, lita orang bukan dapat untung macam UMNO punya orang beli kapal selam” .. guess what… he speaks the truth,,  Last weel Tuesday, my friend went to Kl, to his aunties house, he took the bus from Butterworth, it was jus RM 27 ( the ticket price ) but then on June 6, its gone up to Rm37. Our Prime minister and his ” gangz” should experienced this by themself! then they will know how is it! More people gonna suffer….. It has to be stopped now itself, if not it will keep on goin up!

The government has announced that petrol price will go up by 78 sen at midnight - a 40.6 percent jump from RM1.92 per litre to RM2.70. Will this stops at RM2.70 or gonna increase summore? What happen to the oil in our country! Why we have to pay more, where does the rest of oil from malaysia goes? Ok fine, oil been increased, atleast reduce the toll or completely abolish it! If this cant do, that also cant do.. Mr Lah, enoguh la, step down la, give other a chance la… They might do sumthing beeter than you.. Gov subsides..? nah.. its only goes to one particular people! Knowing well all this, yet the Gov affort to send a so called Genius to space! What we get in the end, seeing him playing bubles.. hahaha …. Stop Producing Cluster Bombs

Posted in General talk, World updates, my events, my human rights watch with tags , on May 22, 2008 by umabaran

The use of cluster bombs is only allowed when it is used against military targets. When these clusters are dropped in a area where there is many civilians, it is a war crime. These bombs split in a multitude of little bombs who are dispersed on a large area. About 15% of this mini bombs doesn’t explose transforming them in mine’s. The first victims of that are the childrens because it seems to bee a toy and they take them in hands or they walk on it. This cause very serious injuries in the faces, the foots and backs. Many childrens have to be amputated or die after such wounds.

What u can do:

DAP leader and member of Parliament Karpal Singh received a live bullet in an envelope at his law firm in Kuala Lumpur this afternoon. The live bullet was accompanied with a note warning him against speaking out on the controversial issues of Malay rights and the constitutional powers of the sultans.

“Kalau tak berhenti, peluru ini akan melekat pada kepala dahi kau!” (If you don’t stop, this bullet will be lodged in your forehead). The wheelchair-bound politician lodged a police report over the death threat at 5pm at Dang Wangi police station.

Met at the police station later this evening, Karpal told reporters that the envelope was hand-delivered to his receptionist at 12.30pm.

“The man was wearing a helmet and he had his visors drawn down. He left hurriedly,” he said, adding that the police have confirmed that bullet was a 9mm ‘live bullet’.

When quizzed by reporters, Karpal said he had no clue who the culprits were and would not rule out that the incident could be politically motivated.

“It is difficult for me to say, but based on the wordings of the note, it appears to have political motives,” he said. The one-page note, printed in Bahasa Malaysia, added that this was the “first warning”

The DAP chairperson and criminal lawyer found himself some unwanted attention recently when some of the remarks he had made concerning the royalty had come under the spotlight.

Over the past week, the renowned lawyer has had 20 police reports lodged against him after he had said the Sultan of Perak had acted unconstitutionally in the transfer of a religious department official and criticised Regent of Kelantan’s message at a forum last month.
Karpal, who is member of Parliament for Bukit Gelugor in Penang, added that he would consider asking for police protection in the future “if necessary”.

Asked if the incident would change his stand on the Perak Sultan’s recent order for the Religious Department Director Jamry Sury to be reinstated, Karpal said he issue had been deemed settled.

He said that he and other quarters have all voiced their arguments and that there was no need to prolong the debate any further.

Veteran DAP leader Lim Kit Siang described the incident as deplorable and urged the police to get to the bottom of the matter.

“This sort of things should not happen in a country like Malaysia,” said Lim, who were among four DAP MPs to accompanied Karpal to the police station, including his son Gobind who is Puchong MP.

Well done.. there were 100″s of reports lodge against Shah Kirit, a bastard, who condemns and criticize on Hinduism in a close door talk in Alor Star, and darely uploaded the speech clips in youtube. Sad to say, till today, there were no actions taken against him..  Click here to read more about Shah Kirit. Couple of days back I received a comment from anony ( Recent pic of Uthayakumar) , saying that this blog is being watched by police and warned me not to bring up sensitive issues.. (blog ini diperhatikan oleh pihak polis. anda diberi amaran supaya tidak membangkitkan isu-isu sensetif di sini).  Dear anony sir, I am not bringing up sensitive issues or creating my own story…  all this is the truth happening which people should know and aware of what is going on actually. Karpal Singh had 20 police reports lodged against him after he had said the Sultan of Perak had acted unconstitutionally in the transfer of a religious department official and criticized Regent of Kelantan’s message at a forum last month, immediate action taken against him, enquiries, called up him up to Police Station and TV3, almost everyday highlighted the issue almost everyday and so on.. But there were dozens of police report done through out the nation by INDIANS against a bastard who condemns and insults Hinduism and till today there is no action taken against him! This is the truth!.. The truth will always taste bitter!

One Nation Under Lee

**  Film on Lee Kuan Yew seized by MDA

“It was a private screening but that didn’t stop officers from the Media Development Authority (MDA) from seizing a copy of the film, “One Nation Under Lee”, at the Tulip Room in the Peninsular Excelsior Hotel.

The film, produced by activist and artist Seelan Pillay, was a narrative of how Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew subjugated various institutions in Singapore, such as the press, under the government’s control during his time as Prime Minister. It also depicted how the social divide in Singapore is a result of the People’s Action Party’s policies. The film included interviews with former Solicitor General Francis Seow, political detainee Said Zahari, opposition politician JB Jeyaretnam and scenes of various public protests which had taken place in Singapore.”

Its absolutely magnificent.. Great job Seelan! well done!

Absolutely ridiculous and a blatant lie

waytha sir

“It is obvious my traveling to lobby for Hindraf and the ethnic minority Indian community had caused the Malaysian government to revoke my passport to curtail my movement”

Hindu Rights Action Force chairperson P Waythmoorthy today accused the Malaysian government of lying over the status of his passport. Waythamoorthy was also upset with Syed Hamid in shrugging off the issue by stating that a misunderstanding could have occurred over the status of the passport.

Syed Hamid had earlier said that “probably because the passport had expired”.

“How can he lie like this? Aren’t his officers briefing him on what’s happening to Malaysians abroad?” asked Waythamoorthy. He said that his passport was to expire in 2010 and that he, of all persons, would know the validity of his travel document. “Is Syed Hamid saying that the British immigration authorities are lying?” he asked when contacted by telephone today. On the same day, Syed Hamid, when asked to comment on the issue, rejected the claims, stating that Waythamoorthy’s passport had not been revoked.

Syed Hamid added that the “misunderstanding” was probably because Waythamoorthy’s passport had expired and he could have his passport renewed at the Malaysian High Commission in London.

P. Waythamoorty”s passport revoked… Malaysian Gov fear to take Hindraf 5 to court!!!!

waythamoorty

“ This is a very cowardly act by the Malaysian government against me in order to undermine me, but it really undermines their credibility locally and internationally ”

Very well done Malaysian Goverment! The government has revoked the passport of a Hindu Rights Action Force chairperson P Waythamoorthy. The activist had planned to visit Washington for talks with leaders of the US Congress and Amnesty and other rights groups, “but it has been put off because of his passport’s cancelation”, Kumar said.( Amnesty’s Washington-based Asia-Pacific advocacy director ).  Kumar said Waythamoorthy only became aware of his passport’s revocation when he returned to London from Geneva after talks recently with the office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights.

“He was shocked to be informed by British immigration officers that Kuala Lumpur has revoked his passport,” Kumar said. “This makes him de facto stateless.”

“This is the first time I have heard of a political activist’s passport being revoked by his own country’s government,” he said.

Kumar called on Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi to give a “full explanation on the rationale for the cancellation.” The question is, do PM will give full explanation for it? Nah.. he wont..  He should came back! says malaysian immigration officials…

Malaysian immigration officials told AFP they were unaware of the passport cancellation and said Waythamoorthy should return home to check the status of his travel document.

But Waythamoorthy said Kuala Lumpur intended to force Britian to deport him so he could be arrested under Malaysia’s Internal Security Act (ISA), which allows for indefinite detention without trial. Its clearly show how dirty is the trapp set up.  Surprising, this is the 1st time hearing an activist passport being revorked… the worse, own country goverment does it.. Kudos! Malaysia is Democracy country.. BY ITS NAME ONLY!!!!!!!

anyway… thanksto Indians who voted for BN and UMNO last general election!

Man Arrested in Italy for Allegedly Filming Thousands of Women’s Bottoms

Posted in World updates, my events with tags on May 14, 2008 by umabaran

VENICE —  Italian police have arrested a man in Venice who was allegedly wandering around St. Mark’s Square and other city landmarks while secretly filming thousands of women’s bottoms, officials said Tuesday.

The man was arrested Saturday after police on patrol noticed him closely following a young woman while carrying a large bag hanging from his shoulder.

“He was very well dressed,” paramilitary police Capt. Mario Marino said. “He followed her and when she bent over to pick up something he tried to place the tip of the bag under her skirt.”

Upon inspection, the bag revealed a sophisticated camera which the man had used to film some 3,000 women in the area over more than three years, Marino said. The bag also contained DVDs with the material filmed by the man, he said.

The alleged voyeur was not identified, but Marino said he is a 38-year-old businessman from nearby Padua, married and with two children. He was released but police have filed a complaint for invasion of privacy, a crime carrying a penalty of up to two years in jail.
